Silver oxide vs alkaline
SR44 and SR44SW are silver oxide versions of the same size. They last longer and hold a steadier voltage than alkaline LR44, making them better for watches and precision instruments. They cost slightly more but are fully interchangeable.
Important: Do not confuse LR44 (1.5V alkaline) with CR44 — CR44 is not a standard size. Also note that LR44 is NOT the same as CR2032, which is a completely different size and voltage.
